Two decades ago Sasha appeared on the front cover of Mixmag, hands clasped in prayer, the crown of his head framed by a halo. His recent album Involv3r on Ministry Of Sound, which Sasha mixed at Red Bus Studios, has maintained his status as the purveyor of foot moving melodies by being nominated for this year’s Beatport Album Of The Year award. The double CD set which moves from chill out to deep house, includes tracks from The XX, Little Dragon, Foals, ThermalBear and Blondes. Seven tracks on the album have been recreated twice, making Involv3r a worthy winner for this year’s 2014 awards.

Betoko worked night and day on his new release ‘Dance On My Feet’ at Red Bus Studios, which was well received in the charts after it’s premier earlier this week on Mixmag, hitting the hotspot at No. 33 on Resident Advisor DJ Charts and coming in the Top 10 on Beatport. Kitty loving label Suara were quick to snap up the new EP with it’s uplifting melody, drops and bags of emotive atmosphere running throughout. This is Betoko at his very best. Production wise you simply cannot fault his attention to detail with his signature sound.

Red Bus Studios charity day headed by Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts turned out to be a huge success this weekend. The studio offered a full day of free studio time with one of our senior sound engineers to the children and young people’s charity Barnardos, in support of their recent ‘Stop Human Trafficking’ campaign. In partnership with both Nicola Roberts and Barnardos, Red Bus are also delighted to have supported some of the UK’s most exciting and emerging up and coming young talent who were chosen to record on the day, and were captivated by the results of the finalised tracks.

Heading back into the studios at the beginning of this year, R J Gibb decided time was of the essence in releasing his father’s, Robin Gibb former member of The Bee Gees, solo album 50 St. Catherines Drive to eagerly awaiting fans. The unfinished album named after the road in which Robin was born, is an exceptional collaboration between the late Robin Gibb and his son Robin-John Gibb, who recorded some outstanding lead vocals on ‘Instant Love’ whilst in the studios. Red Bus Studios couldn’t be happier to hear one of the greatest singer songwriters of our time work live on, with of course the addition of R J Gibb fresh talent added to the mix.
